Skip Beat Make My Heart Skip a Beat...

             This anime is not an ordinary love story it still continues and goes on in manga so it always made me *say to myself---- Patience is a virtue* over and over again cause I’m excited to the next release of the new volume in manga. I’ am so grateful to have the chance to watch it in anime (season1) and to continue reading it in manga. It does not even bores me. Each scene are combination of funny scenes that really has a “juicy humor” on it, makes me laugh out loud, serious scene “deals with the life of the lead character" Kyoko Mogami and her encounter in the showbiz life and world. The good thing here is the story focuses more on her skills as an individual who can adjust and adapt her acting base on what the director asking her to be.

       
          It is more on her self innovation from someone who is being "dumped" by Fuwa Shotaro; her childhood friend and her arrange future husband; she devoted her life to help Fuwa Sho in achieving his dreams to become a famous singer in the showbiz industry; because of his ambition Fuwa Sho leaves his hometown and turn back from his parents dream for him to be the future owner of their family business and invite Kyoko to come with him and he kept Mogami Kyoko by his side for the only reason that he need an errand girl; coincidentally Mogami knows all about it and wake up in her illusions cause by her unconditional love for Fuwa Sho, knowing Fuwa Sho true nature and color she promise to her self that she will have her vengeance and prove to Fuwa Sho that she is better than just a plain, ordinary, stupid girl he used to think about her and even challenge him that she can over power him to his stardom that is why she decided to enter showbiz and meet Tsuruga Ren along the way; the great and most famous actor by that very moment beating Fuwa Sho in popularity; Kyoko meeting Tsuruga Ren and knowing they are in the same talent agency makes Kyoko works even harder to prove she has some skills in acting.

         
Tsuruga Ren character makes the story even more interesting; Tsuruga past life and his devotion as an actor in his present life has a great impact in the story; how he will deal in his present life while he still remember his past life of who he is and how he will deal in his own unexplained feelings towards Mogami really gives excitement and a good twist. Tsuruga Ren serious character and control freak behavior adds color to the story...

Fuwa Sho character is hot, young, handsome guy with good singing voice. He is childish and naughty. He care about his ambitions so much and like to beat Tsuruga Ren popularity. He has a great fashion sense and he's costume in each TV guesting's, interviews are surely have a star quality style.

Later on in manga story Fuwa Sho life and attitude will be extremely affected by Mogami presence for the reasons that he himself cannot understands. Fuwa Sho naughty character and impatient attitude adds spices in the story.

The best thing about this anime are not only the improvement of Kyoko Mogami physical appearance,her skills in acting but also her determination as a person and her innocence about the intentions and the changing feelings of the people around her especially Tsuruga Ren and Fuwa Sho. The slow process of the development of Tsuruga and Fuwa Sho feelings to Mogami are best shown in manga. The conflict of each character personal life and how the characters deals professionally with their roles make the story conflict and complications truly exciting.

Discovering that Skip Beat has a Drama....


From anime to manga to series; not much of an addiction huh'?...

It has a series already and it was a Taiwan series; I don’t know why Taiwan always got the first one to serialize an anime and a manga hit story. Anyways my expectation in Skip Beat when going to be serialized is kind a high. It is Skip Beat anyway it is just like adapting Mogami attitude do your very best in everything despite the fact that people telling you that is not your thing and not qualified for it. Yes!; my expectation in Skip Beat when become a drama is almost high so when I do have my first sneak peek in the Taiwanese drama version of Skip Beat I was thinking in half way that I can't wait for the Korean version to serialized it.

It is not that I’am saying that I didn’t like their version but It was not like what I picture especially in the first time Mogami change her appearance; she cut her hair short, dye her hair and it look awesome in the anime but in this series I do not like her transformation; seeing her for the first time in her transformation makes my reaction like (-.-)…

              How come? The anime and even the manga portray it clearly that she cut her hair short, dye her hair and she wear a mini skirt and a booths like a “cute punk star” but in the series it was like; what is that? aaaaahhhhh…..  okey’… maybe the standard that the manga and the anime leaves in me are so high that's why I have this kind of expectations and since the manga is still ongoing I was kind a please don’t ever alter anything from the quality and essence of the anime and manga version and please if you want to alter just make it much and more better.

But anyways Mogami here change her appearance for the third time, she dye her hair black, straight her hair and it was a little more shorter and it was more pleasing than the first transformation and I like it more. Ivy Chen has a soft face and soft eyes; her reaction is not as intensified as Mogami especially when she play the role of the "Dark Moon" as Mio. The intensity told in the manga and shown in the anime is high enough and Mogami hairstyles do not look exactly the same...

The picture looks okay as if the live action justify the anime character of Tsuruga Ren; when you watch it in live action better see it for your own cause I still feel something is lacking in Choi Siwon compared to  Tsuruga Ren character build up in anime and manga; I'am more craving for intensity of his character.

But thumbs up to Lee Donghae as Fuwa Sho; I love how he embrace the style of Fuwa Sho in anime and make it seems so real in the series. He makes me smile too; he captured the naughtiness of Fuwa Sho and his happy go lucky image. They choose the right person for the role.

But I'am still currently watching the series and waiting for the newest manga volume updates of Skip Beat; reading the manga and watching the series at the same time so I can't help but to compare it to one another....
