A Book: Tune Your Brain

images got from openlibrary.org

My sister brought this book at a supermarket/department store in San Pedro, Laguna. This book is on sale because that specific store is affected by flood when super typhoon Ondoy struck the Philippines specifically hit Manila. It was some of the book that been saved from the flood so they put it on sale since the flood already affect the value of the book but still all in all the book still look good; it is just the type of paper of this book that really look old and for me smell old also. I happen to read this book because my sister do not often read, it was always put on our desk so since it piqued my interest, I got the book and started to read it and then it goes, my higher understanding about music...

In this book, it states that music can be categorize in different types depends on its frequency (there are number counts indicated in the book, to know the frequency of the music to where or what category or type that kind of music will fall). Each music have a frequency and a vibrations that can be send to the listener and can change their mood for example upbeat music makes  someone happy, slow music makes someone feel lonely...

But in this book, Music use as a useful tool to help a person understand how their favorite music can help them in their daily life and how can Music can bring changes to their life, the secret is just read this book, follow the guide and learn how to use it.

The music that I do remember categorize as;

Energizer music- The music that is upbeat. The type of music that you can use as your "alarm clock" so you can wake up even in your deepest sleep. Hearing music like these makes you dance, groove, jive and even feel awaken. It helps you maintain an energizing spirit all through your day.

Relaxing music- The type of music that is slow and have a smooth relaxing tempo. This type of music is advise to be listen when your in the edge of loosing your temper or when your anger is currently taking over your mood and you want to kind a break it and give yourself a relaxing feeling. It is also quite good to listen to it when your body is still overly active and you want to relax your muscles to have some rest or preparing yourself to have some good sleep.

Spiritual Music- those type of music that can uplift your spirit into much higher believe...

Inspirational/Motivational Music- Those type of music that can inspired and motivate a person and can help a person do make an action to do an act.

Intellectual Music- those type of music that can boost your memory retention and helps you focus more and be more attentive in what you are doing specifically when learning or studying. It is good to listen in this type of music an hour before you take an exam or going in an interview. It helps your mind focus and let your brain neurons activate so you tend to think clearly and quickly.

Did you know?

That listening to foreign music (those language you do not know nor speak); those lyrics that is not common to you are said to make your focus more attentive and the unfamiliar language awaken your brain neurons and it is said to be an effective way to exercise your mind memory retention.

That according to the study and from this book information that listening to Mozart piano piece 30 mins before taking an examination will help a student get a higher score compared to the person who take an exam who just take a simple review like reading and memorizing.

That after I read this book; I compile my music list in my cellphone according to each categories. I even used my upbeat music as my alarm clock. I remember "Naruto" song is an effective way to wake me up. MYMP acoustic songs and bossonova is under my relaxing folder play list and it is very effective way to relax my mind and my heart. I do also research about Mozart piano piece cause it really interest me and I haven't prove it yet if it was true or not maybe I will try it if I will have the chance cause the other recommendations are effective anyways.

That my cell phone where my music play list is all been saved is now destroyed and no chance of surviving and retrieving it and unluckily I do not saved my play list on my memory card so it means I have to make a new folder and new song choice for it and now I will make sure, I will saved it. =)

That this book is really owned by my sister and I just happen to read it (luckily) and my friend barrow it from me and I lend it to her with my sister permission (off course!) but still she never bring it back to me and my sister keep on asking about it (she forgot that we lend it to my friend, she just think I misplaced it somewhere, she sometimes feel she want to read it badly; she had that sudden mood attack; an suddenly urge to read) until now she didn't know that my friend still not giving it back and she might kill me if she knows (hehehehe) just kidding! but I'am will  be in bad situation if she does found out. Well maybe my friend can brought it back before my sister knew.... (think POSITIVE!).... ^-^
